On 7th and 8th July 2023 the IUKL BALKAN OPEN 2023 and Bulgaria Cup 2023 competitions were held in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, in the volleyball hall of the Lokomotiv Stadium. More than 50 competitors took part in the tournaments. Athletes from 7 countries took part in the competition, namely Bulgaria, Serbia, Greece, Hungary, Slovakia, Russia and France.
The organizers of the two tournaments are Sensei Krasimir Ivanov and the president of Lokomotiv Be Strong Kettlebell Club Bulgaria, the two-time women's kettlebell champion - Snatch 16kg - 10 min discipline and the general secretary of the Be Strong club - Zlatina Milanova, as well as Mr. Dimitar Spasov - president of Karate Club Lokomotiv - Sofia. Both tournaments were held in honor of the founder of Karate Club Lokomotiv - Sofia - the late Sensei Spas Spasov.
The opening of the games was also celebrated by the mayor of the Nadezhda region - engineer D. Dimov, the president of the Lokomotiv Sofia volleyball club - Brigita Slavova, the bodybuilding champion Dimitar Dimitrov and the famous fitness model and owner of her own line of clothing and food supplements - Bilyana Yotovska, who was also part of the award ceremony.
