The World Championship among boys and girls U-16\U-18 on April 25-30 was hosted in the city of Khanabad (Uzbekistan). Over 250 athletes competed over 4 competition days.
In the last few years, the youth championships were held together with adult championships, but due to the change in the number of athletes, a decision was made to separate this age group.
In the team competition, the Russian team won, Kazakhstan took second place, and the hosts of the competition, the Uzbekistan team, took third place.
